FAQ
Here you will find answers to questions you may have during the ordering process.
How to place an order?
You can place an order directly on the website or write to us on Instagram, Telegram or WhatsApp. We will clarify all the details - size, metal, stones, design - and start production.
How long does it take to create a jewelry?
Production time - up to 4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the model. A simple silver ring can be ready in a week, and a complex gold one with stones - in three to four. If you need it faster - write, we will tell you whether it is realistic.
Can I change the design or create jewelry based on my own idea?
Yes, this is a core part of our work. We love individual orders, complex challenges, and new ideas.
What metals do you use?
We work with 14K (585) and 18K (750) Gold (yellow, white, and rose gold), Sterling Silver (925), and Platinum 950. Gold is harder than silver, making it ideal for rings intended for daily wear.
What stones do you set?
We work with diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, and moissanites — we select options based on your budget and wishes.
Can I use my own gold?
We do not manufacture using client-provided gold, but we are happy to purchase it from you. The value of your gold can then be credited towards your new piece—either fully or partially.
Do you offer engraving?
Yes, we provide laser engraving. You can engrave text, dates, coordinates, or a symbolic image.
How can I pay for my order?
All orders placed on our website require full upfront payment.
Do you offer shipping within the Czech Republic and internationally?
Yes, we ship throughout the Czech Republic and internationally. All jewelry is packaged securely and shipped with full insurance.
What is the warranty on the jewelry?
WARRANTY We are confident in the quality of every NOVIKOV JEWELRY piece.
• 2-year warranty on the surface and stone settings.
The warranty includes:
• Cleaning the surface from oxidation;
• Refinishing the ring texture (polishing, buffing);
• Elimination of damages not caused by the owner;
• Re-setting stones if they fell out not due to the owner's fault, maximum up to 1.5 mm stones.
The warranty does not cover product deformation or mechanical damage resulting from impacts, dents, drops, or improper use. It also does not cover the loss of large or central stones (over 2 mm), as such cases cannot be reliably distinguished from mechanical damage.
• If the Central stone fell out but is preserved, we will set it back for free.
• If the stone is lost, we can offer restoration or replacement at a discounted price.
Shipping costs for delivery of the product for warranty service are paid by the client.
How do I determine my ring size?
The most accurate way is to have your size measured by a jeweler or at our workshop. You can also use the size chart available on our website.
How do I choose the right chain length?
There are two simple methods:
• Measure a chain you already own that you like the length of.
• Take a thick thread or cord, wrap it around your neck to determine the desired length, and then measure it with a ruler.
Note: This method is the most accurate, as a thin thread often creates a deceptive impression—making the length seem shorter than the actual chain.
How to determine your bracelet size.
Wrap your wrist with a flexible measuring tape or a strip of paper—firmly, but not too tightly. The circumference should feel comfortable and not squeeze your hand. Then measure the resulting length with a ruler—this is your size.
Why does gold or silver jewelry tarnish/darken?
This is a natural reaction of the metal to the environment.
• Gold alloys contain impurities of silver, copper, or nickel—these are what react with air, water, or cosmetics. Pure gold itself does not tarnish, but the alloys do.
• Silver tarnishes faster because it is sensitive to sulfur, which is present in sweat, cosmetics, water, and even the air.
How to avoid this (Jewelry Care Tips)
• Remove jewelry before showering, sleeping, exercising, and cleaning.
• Avoid contact with chemicals, creams, and perfumes.
• Store jewelry separately, preferably in soft pouches.
• Clean your jewelry every few months with a soft cloth or bring it in for professional cleaning.
• If the piece has a matte finish, do not clean it with a toothbrush or paste, as they create micro-scratches that later fill with dirt.
• Rhodium-plated jewelry does not tarnish, but the rhodium gradually wears off. It can be restored with re-plating.
How to care for your jewelry.
Both gold and silver are soft metals, requiring delicate care. Key recommendations:
• Wash your jewelry once a week in warm, soapy water to remove dust and grease. Do not rub vigorously.
• Remove jewelry before sleeping to avoid scratches and deformation.
• Store each piece of jewelry separately—in a soft pouch or box.
• Avoid contact with household chemicals, cosmetics, and seawater.
• Do not wear jewelry while exercising, washing dishes, bathing, or working with tools.
• Bring your jewelry in for cleaning or surface refinishing every few months—this will help them look like new.
Prodáváte hotové šperky?
Ne. NOVIKOV Jewelry je šperkařská dílna, nikoli prodejna hotových šperků. Každý šperk vyrábíme individuálně po schválení konfigurace, ceny a doby výroby.
Mohu individuálně vyrobený šperk vrátit do 14 dnů?
